A new month brings exciting new shows to the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton, including film screenings and orchestra performances. Mark your calendars for these upcoming events:

Milton Film Forum – Giant Little Ones

Start the month off with a screening of Giant Little Ones at the Centre. The film, which is a part of the monthly Milton Film Forum, is about two popular teen boys who have been best friends since childhood. Their lives are dramatically upended after an unexpected incident occurs on the night of a 17th birthday party. The dramatic film screens on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m.

The Trews

Having once shared the stage with iconic artists like the Rolling Stones, Weezer and Bruce Springsteen, The Trews have often been referred to as one of the most prolific, electrifying and innovative rock bands around. The Hamilton-based group have released six studio albums and have topped the charts, once ranking among the top 40 selling Canadian bands in Canada. The group got their start in 2002 from a radio contest called “Rocksearch” on the St. Catharines radio station, CHTZ-FM. Soon after winning the contest, the band landed a recording contract with Bumstead Productions and released their first full-length album House of III Fame in 2003. The First Ontario Credit Union is sponsoring this show. The Trews take the stage on Friday, March 6 at 8 p.m.

The Dance Element’s 15th Annual Competitive Showcase

Before heading off to their competition season, dancers from The Dance Element will be hitting the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton stage to highlight their group routines and show off their talents. Dance along with The Dance Element on Saturday, March 7 at 5 p.m.
