The Holcim Gallery at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton is the perfect venue for hosting your next art exhibition. We offer a state-of-the-art facility with moveable walls that allow you to customize the space. You can even take a virtual tour to familiarize yourself with our facilities prior to booking.
Apply for an exhibition
To host an exhibition at the Holcim Gallery, you need to submit an online application and any supporting materials. We welcome artwork from individual artists, artist collectives, art and historical societies, independent curators and other organizations. Make sure to review our rental guidelines prior to booking.
Exhibition rates
It costs $331.26 per week to rent the Holcim Gallery. All exhibitions must run for a minimum of three weeks. The rental fee includes the following services:
- Installation of artwork
- Printed labels for artwork
- Promotion on our website and social media
- Artwork insurance for the length of the exhibition
- Opportunity to host an opening reception
Notes on rental fees
Our rental rates and fees are effective Jan. 1, 2024, and may change, pending Town Council Approval. All rental fees are subject to HST. There are a few exceptions that can impact your booking fee:

For ticketed events, you will either pay the base rental fee or 10 per cent of the gross box office receipts, whichever is higher

Community groups and organizations may qualify for the reduced affiliated rates through the Town of Milton Affiliation Program

Off-peak rates are available for performances booked Monday to Wednesday by affiliated or standard clients
Gallery features
The Holcim Gallery is a spacious room with up to 150 feet of wall hanging space. Our facility is equipped with easy-to-use hanging tracks and is well-lit to optimize the viewing experience. Located next to the Cogeco Escarpment Hall, glass doors offer visitors a view of the exhibition anytime the Arts Centre is open.
